I stained the nutcrackers in the Minwax color "early American". After the stain was dry, using a small brush, I added a little white and red paint to areas of the nutcrackers. Although the changes that I made to the nutcrackers were so minor and simple, it completely changed the look of these nutcrackers. I love how they turned out!!
